The School for Historical Fencing Arts (School voor Historische Schermkunsten - SHS), created in 2010, focuses on recreating 17th century, Dutch rapier fencing arts and other historical self-defense arts. This is achieved by studying and practising these arts as they were described by the masters of the time. On this website you can find more information about us and about the sources that we use to recreate the historical fencing arts. You can also find information about our activities, such as training, demonstrations and the choreography and execution of stunt fights for stage and film. Because of moving house I am trying to find out whether there is an interest in rapier fencing in the Rotterdam area. Interested? Tell us!  |
